The origins of the company reach back to 1996 when the first passenger stairs were produced and delivered to the Ogden Aviation Company, which operated at Prague Airport. The company has been operating under the name of ZODIAC EQUIPMENT spol. s r.o. since 2003. Its programme involves producing, repairing and selling ground equipment for servicing airplanes. Purchasing, repairing and reselling of used airport equipment represents another important activity.

The company has been expanding throughout its existence and its turnover is continuously growing. Currently, it has about ten major customers and several tens of smaller customers; about 90 % of the production is exported to continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
